I am Datu Dieter Knüttel and live in Dortmund, Germany.

At the 25th of July 2008 I was awarded 8th Dan Modern Arnis, Lakan Walo in Iloilo, the capital of Panay, Philippines. At the same time I received the recognition as a Grandmaster.
The rank and recognition was awarded by the following committee:
GM Christino Vasquez, 9th Dan Modern Arnis
GM Rene Tongson, 8th Dan Modern Arnis
GM Rodel Dagooc, 8th Dan Modern Arnis
GM Jerry Dela Cruz, 8th Dan Modern Arnis
GM Samuel "Bambit" Dulay, 8th Dan Modern Arnis as well as
Senior Master Atty. Salvador Demaisip, Coomissioner of the International Modern Arnis Federation, Philippines, IMAFP.

Also, I am the chief instructor of the German Arnis Federarion, DAV (Deutscher Arnis Verband e.V.)

I have been training FMA since 1978.

I received the Datu title as the 4 person worldwide and the only European from Grandmaster Remy Presas in June 1996.

I teach Modern Arnis seminars in Germany, Europe and worldwide.
